Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Riara University in training deal

On Thursday 5th March 2020, Nairobi Securities exchange and Riara University signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the University. The MOU was signed by Prof. Robert Gateru, the Vice Chancellor, Riara University and Mr. Geoffrey O. Odundo, the Chief Executive Officer – CEO, Nairobi Securities Exchange. The MOU intensifies a closer strategic partnership between the two institutions in bridging the gap between practice and theory

The deal is part of Riara’s School of Business mission to enhance quality of financial literacy and education among the youth. Moreover, NSE will provide courses for instructors, technical and eLearning support services for students.

Speaking after signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), NSE’s, Chief Executive, Mr. Geoffrey O. Odundo said the partnership will see graduates equipped with requisite knowledge and skills in capital markets and NSE products and services. “We need to bridge the gap between theory and practice. This MOU will assist us in enhancing the level of knowledge of students making them market-ready,” while his counterpart, Riara University’s, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Robert Gateru affirmed that the signing of the MoU is in line with the university’s commitment to ensure all students understand market dynamics.
