Ms. Lichuma thereafter undertook her Master of Laws degree at the New York University School of Law where she was a Dean Graduate scholar. She graduated with an LLM in International Legal Studies in 2012.
She is a Certified Public Accountant and was the fifth best student nationally CPA Part l sec 1, June 2005; KASNEB Exams as well as the best student nationally in CPA Part II Sec 3, June 2006; KASNEB Exams. Ms. Lichuma has been in academia for five years and has previously lectured in Company Law, Commercial Law, Business Law, Corporate and Global Law, Law of Evidence as well as Cost and Management Accounting at the Strathmore University (School of Accountancy, School of Law, School of Finance and Applied Economics as well as School of Commerce and Management).
Her key areas of academic interest span the breadth of Public International Law with specific emphasis on International Criminal Law, International Human Rights Law, Comparative Constitutional Law and Economic and Social Rights Law. She was the 2014 Emer De Vattel Scholar at The Hague Academy of International Law and is currently working on several articles in the field of Economic and Social Rights.
Ms. Lichuma is the holder of a Diploma in Justiciability of Economic and Social Rights from the Abo Akademi University’s Human Rights Institute.
