|Reports to:||ICT PROGRAM COORDINATOR|
|POSITION FUNCTION:||Under the direction of the ICT Programme Coordinator, the Lecturer Ethical Hacking will facilitate the timely teaching and learning in the department.|
|DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:||1.Provide support in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, marking policies, assessment and learning strategies in the teaching of ethical hacking.
2.Deliver lectures and monitor student progress during training, provide support and advice students to enable them excel in their studies.
3.Act as a subject area expert and participate in providing advice and support for new projects within the department.
4.Work closely with the ICT Project Coordinator in developing innovative ways to recruit and admit new students.
5.Maintain current and updated records for all students under his/her supervision.
6.Provide a conducive learning environment that encourages scholarship, research and strengthens relationships with key stakeholders internally.
7.Enrich the intellectual development of students through interaction and academic counseling.
8.Consistently ‘raise the bar’ with regard to performance expectations by empowering students to achieve performance goals and objectives.
9.Perform any other duty that may be allocated by the Supervisor.
|QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:||1.A Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
2.An advanced Diploma in Network Security.
3.3-5 five years extensive experience in the area of network security and a working knowledge of various operating systems. Areas of expertise include a sound working knowledge of Microsoft and Linux servers, Cisco network switches, virtualization, Citrix and Microsoft Exchange. A working knowledge of the latest penetration software is essential.
4.Must be a Certified Ethical Hacker with a professional certification provided by the International Council or other relevant bodies
5.Experience as a Tutor in an Institution of Higher Learning will be highly desirable
6.Excellent communication and demonstrable decision making skills.
7. Must demonstrate proven work ethics to meet deadlines, good interpersonal skills and a team player.
