Mr. Mutuma Michubu has specialized in Economics of Education and Planning. He holds a B.ED Degree at first class honors and M.ED in Educational planning from the University of Nairobi. Besides, he holds a Post graduate diploma in project management from the Kenya Institute of Management. He is currently pursuing Ph.D in Economics of Education and Planning at Kenyatta University.
Prior to joining Riara University, Mr. Mutuma was teaching at the University of Nairobi, Kenya Methodist University and Mt. Kenya University. Besides, he taught at Oshwal Academy Nairobi, a school offering British National Curriculum (BNC).
Mr. Mutuma has supervised several postgraduate and diploma students in their research projects at the University of Nairobi.
He has carried out research in internal efficiency in secondary schools in Meru North district as well as challenges facing implementation of rehabilitation programs for street children in Kenya. He is currently carrying out research on the rapid expansion and massification of higher education in Kenya as well as the impact of recent takeover of middle level colleges by Universities.
